As off 2/1/2021 Private access from Bear Canyon Rd is closed. Now you must park at Mt Elliss trailhead and hike aprox. 2 miles, staying on State land. You must have a MT state lands recreation permit ($3.00) Purchase anywhere a hunting license is sold.
Rules
Do not hike, launch or land on private lands, they are watching and will complain.
