DESCRIPTION
NWSartfield is a small low coastal site situated on sand cliffs. Take off on the concrete ramp that drops down to the beach or on the beach below and ground handle up. Park next to the waste water treatment works near the beach.This site is near to Jurby and takes the same wind direction but does not have any sand dunes out front to cause rotor. The concrete ramp provides a fairly compact take off area so depending on conditions on the day you may be better off laying out on the beach and ground handling up. Despite its lack of size, it is free of ferns and bracken which makes launching much easier.
