Little Sur (Monterey)
DESCRIPTION
Winds are usually cross from the north but on some lighter days it peels around the point straight in. It's often sunny a lot while it's overcast else where and a wave cloud will kick off some times which can be quite fun, or annoying....Watch for ranchers and authority figures, dont take off or land if they're around and I probably wouldn't fly here if you have a warrant or have issues with getting written up for some dumb reason....... Don't land on the ranchers property(every where), he will convict.ACTIVITIES
- paragliding- soaring
weather
Getting pushed over the back and landing on the road embankment is a real issue when it's strong. Stick to light days...The water is sheltered a bit from the open ocean swells so it looks calmer than it actually is. Oh yea, and the point to the north is called Hurricane point for some odd reason.access
20 minutes or so south of Carmel Valley. 8 or so North of Big Sur...HWY 1regulation
