Newly improved and expanded LZ. Very committing XC site; likelihood of landing out and spending the night in remote areas is high. Great evening flying, very strong mid-day conditions.

Combination of paved and dirt roads. Passable by 2WD passenger cars when dry. Road is snowed in from November until May or June of most years, early to mid-July in snowy years.

Klamath Falls airport controlled airspace is to the north on northerly XC route. Landing in Lava Beds National Monument allowed with explicit advance permission of National Park Service only (on XC route to NE).
