DESCRIPTION

The mountain above Topolitsa village is part of the Stara Planina (Balkan) mountain and offers two take-off spots 1.2km apart. Both are 350m above the valley floor and give excellent opportunities for thermal and ridge soaring. Topolitsa village is situated 40km northwest of Burgas and only 12km from Aitos. The flight in the mountain will take your breath away and you will remember it ever after! While enjoying the chirrups of the birds, you will be fascinated by the incredible views of the mountain, the field and the forest below you :-).

If you travel from Burgas, you have to follow the road to Aitos (the old road to Sofia). At the end of the town, you will see the sign 'Topolitsa 12km' on the right. Turn right and continue driving. First you will pass Karageorgievo village, the second village is Topolitsa. In the center of Topolitsa turn right again and follow the road, which goes up the mountain. At the top of the mountain, on the right begins a dirt road and 100m away is the South takeoff. If you continue another 1.5km you will reach the East takeoff.
