Cameron Highlands
DESCRIPTION
Due to the elevation of this whole area, the cloud base is usually not much higher than the launch. Although, there is often enough thermic activity to fly the ridge and also to cross to the other side of the valley and fly those hills and ridges. Not a great site and probably not worth the 3.5hr trip from KL just for flying on its own, but is good to tie in sight sight seeing and flying to make it worth it.ACTIVITIES
- paragliding- soaring
- thermals
access
From KL go north heading to Ipoh and then follow the signs to Cameron Highlands. Going North from Ringlet turn right about 4klm and follow the signs to Boh Tea Plantation and Boh Tea House. From the tea house car park you can see the ridge looking to the South East over the valley from the Tea House. Though not oblivious from the tea House, there is a small air strip running down that ridge. There is usually a Wind Sock visible at the top.Take off
