Primary landing location #1: Bottom of the hill Vertical drop : 88 meters (288 feet) to the Distance over land: 0.46km (0.28 miles) GPS: N51 11 39.14, W -114 27 05.77 Notes: Ample wind socks all around location. Grass can get tall, some weeds and small bushes throughout. Barbwire fence around landing perimeter. Uneven slopes in the landing zone. Alternate Landing Location #2: Across the highway in the baseball/football fields. Vertical drop : 110 meters (370 feet) to the Distance over land: 0.72km (0.45 miles) GPS: N51 11 29.54, W -114 27 07.66 Notes: Ample wind socks across the highway at landing location #1. Grassy landing location is well maintained. Watch for chain linked fences. Alternate Landing Location #3: Southwest side of Cochrane at the football field and anywhere north of that location along the park path between highway 22 and the commercial retail on the west side. Vertical drop : 161 meters (528 feet) Distance over land: 2.86km (1.76 miles) GPS: N51 11 14.02, W -114 29 12.50 Notes: Ample Canada flags can be seen from commercial establishments close by and one wind sock north of the football field attached to a gas pipeline asset. Flat grassy landing locations are well maintained.. Watch for fencing, power lines and pedestrians in or near the public fields.
